Alliance for the Great Lakes

Lake Michigan is an integral part of the Chicago experience and lifestyle.  We get our water and many other benefits from Lake Michigan.  Clean water is essential for life and is a resource that cannot be taken for granted.  Water is life.  Chicago residents have access to clean, clear drinking water and its no small benefit to our community.  Organizations like the Alliance for the Great Lakes help us keep our greatest resources preserved for future generations.
